Resin AROPOL M 300 TBR

AROPOL M 300 TBR is a ortophtalic polyester resin, thixotropic, pre-accelerated with low styrene emission with moderate gel time.

  • HDT – 90 °C,
  • Density – 1,1 kg/dm3,
  • Viscosity, Brookfield at 23°C (RVT, sp2, 10rpm) – 1100 mPas,
  • Viscosity at  23°C (cone&plate) – 250 mPas,
  • Geltime at 23°C (1,0 % Butanox M-50) – 40 min,
  • Peak exotherm at 23°C (1,0 % Butanox M-50) – 105°C.

AROPOL M 300 TBR is a low styrene emission unsaturated polyester resin based on orthophthalic acid. Styrene emission under working conditions is reduced by up to 50% compared to standard resin. Good mechanical properties, temperature resistance and hydrolysis resistance are characteristic for AROPOL M 300 TBR.

Due to the low peak exotherm and low heat development when curing, AROPOL M 300 TBR can be used in building a laminate thickness of 3-15 mm wet on wet.

When working with AROPOL M 300 TBR emission is only 2-5% of polyester resin usage while it is 5-10% with standard polyester resin.

AROPOL M 300 TBR resin is suitable for spray-up, hand lay-up and filament winding methods for manufacturing numerous FRP products for the building and construction, transportation and marine markets.

AROPOL M 300 TBR resin is approved by Det Norske Veritas for wind turbine rotors.
